2nd Line Telecoms Engineer – Stevenage/Hertfordshire – up to £40k, Office & field based

We are looking for an experienced 2nd line Telecommunications Engineer, who must be ambitious, driven and hardworking to join our growing technical department.
The Role:

As a 2nd line Telecoms Engineer you will be responsible for providing remote support, as well as completing on-site installations and training to our customers based across the UK.

Day to day basis, you will
· Be a point of contact for incidents and requests, ensuring tickets are dealt with within SLA.
· Resolve queries or faults and providing support for UC, PBX, Broadband connectivity, leased lines and access control.
· Attend customers premises to install the following:
– Hosted and on-premise phone systems,
– Complete Cabling work,
– Broadband Connectivity,
– Access Control Installations.

They will provide any necessary training and development skills that are required.

Essential Requirements:
· Driving License
· Four years minimum experience in telecommunications engineering.

Preferred Requirements:
· Basic IT Knowledge
· Experience with Gamma Telecom products including Horizon, SIP and broadband connectivity.
· Experience with Avaya Products
· Experience with Cat5 and Cat6 Cabling
· Experience with Access Control and CCTV
· Good customer service skills and telephone manner
· Desire to learn and upskill when required.
· Willingness to work well within a team and for a fast paced, rapidly growing business.
